'Rent'

Hope Mill Theatre

Working closely with Lighting Designer Howard Hudson, MPS have supplied a Lighting, Control and Crewing package to the highly acclaimed production of 'Rent' at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester.

Working in these incredibly challenging times, and in a Covid safe manner, MPS were able to supply a lighting and control package to the production that includes ETC Gio@5, ETC Nomad Packages, Mac Auras, Estrip 10s and Jem Hazer Pro machines.

We also provided Production Electricians to the show and received great praise for the the professional and efficient manner in which the show was installed in minimal time.

'Sunset Boulevard'

UK Tour

MPS were tasked by Production Managers Simon Gooding and Matt Jones to build a set lx package for a major UK tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Sunset Boulevard.'

Working closely with Lighting Designer Ben Cracknell, we were able to design a completely wireless package of hugely realistic candle flames that were fully dimmable and controlled from the main lighting console.

We have received huge praise for these products, with many people saying that they have never seen such a realistic effect of this type on stage.

We also created a number of LED Light Box set pieces and supplied a package of Sunstrips from our extensive hire stock to create a huge wall of lights upstage.

'All Shook Up'

Grand Theatre

We have once again provided full production support for local company W'ton Muscom and their production on 'All Shook Up' at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre.

For this production, MPS supplied stage management, production management and a lighting and sound design fit for a west end production. Under the leadership of our own production manager Steve Payne, MPS were challenged to find a set for this production, as there wasn't a ready made set in existence. The set that was sourced turned out to be a great success.

In addition we also provided a full sound package including our Trantec S5.3 system and a huge moving light package to consist of SGM G-Spots, Mac Quantums, Mac Auras, Qwash 560zs, Platinum 5R Beam Extremes and our new SL eStrip 10 battens. The entire show was pre-visualised using our Capture Symphony software suite and our ETC Gio and featured over 600 lighting cues.

Long term repeat clients from Muscom Operatic this year enlisted MPS to provide full production support for their production of 'Fame' at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre.

For this production, MPS supplied a set, lighting and sound design fit for a west end production. Under the leadership of our own production manager Steve Payne, MPS provided stage management, lighting technicians and sound crew to the event - who worked closely alongside the resident team at the venue.

We provided all of the stage decking, over 120m of truss and over 100 moving lights to the production - all from our own inventory which was rigged and ready to go in just 8 hours at the venue.

'Codfest'

Festival Lighting Rig

Dubbed as 'the friendly festival' - Codfest 2015 enlisted the help of MPS to provide a festival rig, along with design team and crew for their event.

Given our commitment to invest in the latest LED lighting technologies, MPS were the obvious choice to provide for the event given the limited power facilities at the festival site.

'Emergeination' Launch Event

Jam House Birmingham

When artistic agency, Emergeination were arranging their high profile launch event at the prestigious Jam House in Birmingham they turned to MPS to provide production support to their event.

Showcasing the varied talents of the agency's clients, MPS provided artist display boards, band lighting and even created a cat walk for a fashion show made from our very own LED.
